The project was born from the desire to improve the quality of life of the people in the Fulani’s community.
In Africa, it is the women’s job to fetch water for their homes.
What they have today is a hand water pump, which demands a lot of physical work. And unfortunately, the water is not considered ideal for consumption. That way people still suffering from diseases that in our cities no longer exist.
With this project, we will be able to provide a tank with a capacity of 10 thousand liters of water. The water is going to be collected with an automatic pump that will work through solar panels.
The first step is drilling a hole 100 meters deep to reach the clean water. The area in which the drilling will take place was already evaluated by a geologist. The best time to start drilling the hole is in May next year.
The total value of the project is €21 thousand. We are happy to say we are halfway through the amount needed.
This tank will change the lives of this community for the better.
